There are a number of reasons why residents of Temecula, CA, wouldn’t trade their hometown for anything. The location, temperate climate, local cuisine, and wide range of available activities mean that the residents all have one thing in common; they love living in Temecula. It’s not just the locals that love Temecula. The area is a popular tourist destination all year round.

1. Temecula Wineries

Temecula is at the heart of Southern California’s Wine Country. The Temecula Valley produces over 50 different varieties of wine, many of them award-winning. A good portion of the wineries are family-owned, offering daily tastings or meals at their on-site restaurants.
The wineries and events offering alcohol are for adults who have reached the legal drinking age. If you choose to attend, please be sure to drink responsibly and in moderation. Most importantly, don’t drink and drive.

2. The Locals

The Temecula locals are down-to-earth and friendly, with a real sense of community pride. Despite the town’s size, it has a small-town feel, with residents greeting each other with big waves, smiles, and hellos, making any new residents feel more than welcome.

3. Easy Access to the Big City

Residents enjoy the slower pace of a small town while still having easy access to the events and opportunities of the big city. Located 58 miles from downtown San Diego and 85 miles from downtown Los Angeles, residents are close enough to enjoy what the big city offers without the day-to-day hassles associated with big city life.

4. The Golf

Temecula is a golfer’s dream. The town has seven golf courses for residents to perfect their game, including Pechanga’s Journey, CrossCreek, and The Legends Golf Club. Golfers certainly never get bored with a further 17 courses within 20 miles of town.

5. Annual Fesitvals

There is no shortage of entertainment in town, with Temecula hosting a multitude of festivals each year. Among the more popular, the Valley Balloon and Wine Festival give residents the chance to ride in one of the many hot air balloons that flood to the area for the festival, while sampling the best of local wines. Other festivals that residents flock to include the Street Painting Festival and Wine and Music Festival, which gives the town the chance to party together.

6. Food

Temecula boasts a raft of food experiences representing a melting pot of ethnicities, including Italian, Mexican, Thai, and Japanese. Other restaurants reflect something uniquely local, kabobs. The residents have two kabob restaurants to chose from, with everyone seemingly having an opinion on which one makes the best version of the skewered treat.

7 The Old Town

Residents can step back in time in the old town. The buildings are reminiscent of the old west, set on boardwalk-lined streets. Antique shops are scattered through the area, along with a number of modern specialty boutiques. The collection of old and new is unique to Temecula, and for the locals, one more reason to love the town.

When coupled with the picturesque setting in the heart of the Temecula Valley, the unique lifestyle makes it hard not to love the town, whether you’re a local or visitor.
