2022-Chevrolet-Equinox

The 2022 refresh has made Chevrolet’s Equinox more practical, powerful, and dashing than ever. It’s a car that makes going about your day-to-day life feel like a treat. Here are the things you need to know about the 2022 Chevy Equinox.

Meet the 2022 Chevy Equinox

The third generation of the Equinox was introduced in 2018 and is a mid-size, compact crossover SUV. This is powered by a 1.5l turbo four-cylinder gas engine with 170hp and comes with available switchable all-wheel drive. As well as boasting 203 pound-feet of torque and a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds, it’s impressively spacious, with nearly 1,130 cubic feet of storage in the trunk and a payload of over 1,110 pounds.

Refreshed in 2022

The 2022 refresh saw the deletion of the L trim, making the LS the new base model. This is followed by the LT, the RS, and the top-spec Premier. Of the four primary trims, the newly-introduced RS is the sports model, with a Jet Black interior with red stitching, blacked-out trim, and gloss black grille to give it a more menacing presence.

Bolder Style and Design

There have been significant updates to the Equinox’s look in 2022. Reshaped front grille, headlights, taillamps, front and rear fascias, and bumper give the car a more assertive presence and a distinctive silhouette. The exterior color palette was also expanded with four new options–Blue Glow Metallic, Iron Gray Metallic, Seaglass Blue Metallic, and Cherry Red Tintcoat–to bring the total number of choices up to eight.

Responsive and Intuitive Safety

The Chevrolet safety assist package is now a standard feature of the Equinox. This includes a range of automatic safety features designed to give you a helping hand behind the wheel. You’ll benefit from forward collision alert and automatic emergency braking, a rear vision camera, intelligent high beams, and lane keep assist. It’s also possible to opt for the adaptive cruise control system on the Premier.

Upgraded Connectivity and Tech

One of the most impressive features of the Chevy Equinox in 2022 is the way in which it allows you to integrate different features of your life. Of course, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow you to effortlessly connect your car with your smartphone. But you also now have the option of incorporating Amazon services.

This means that you can organize deliveries straight to your car with Amazon Key. You can also use Alexa to control your ignition from the house, or stream your music to the car. Built-in navigation is standard on the LT trim and above, and there’s a 7-inch touchscreen in all models up to the Premier, which has an 8-inch screen. A wireless hotspot is also available.

The Equinox is perfect if you have a busy life but don’t want to compromise on comfort and style. But for the clearest idea of its benefits, you should get up close and personal with a test drive. Contact us at Paradise Chevrolet Cadillac to find out more.
