1. Old Town Temecula Community Theater
Even if you’re not a big theater person, you can’t miss checking out Temecula’s beloved community theater if you’re in town. The Old Town Theater at 33440 La Serena Way is a community theater run, and much loved, by the locals of Temecula and boasts a 450-seat theater with modern lighting and sound systems.
Its productions are directed, produced, and performed by locals, and the pricing is incredibly affordable to match, with most shows running around $20. The lineup of shows consists of modern musicals, classical productions, orchestral music, standup comedy, puppet shows, and dance performances.
2. Temecula CRC Amphitheater
If you drive a little further from the center of town over to 30875 Racho Vista Road, you’ll find yourself in Temecula’s premier theater for outdoor live music. The CRC Amphitheater is located in the beautiful, green Ronald Reagan Park and provides an incredibly scenic backdrop to catch a live act.
The city of Temecula uses the amphitheater for each summer’s Summer Sunset Concert Series, hosting a variety of live bands every weekend. Grab some friends, a picnic blanket, and some food while you listen to splendid live music under the summer California sunset! Events are always free and open to the public.
3. Shakespeare in the Vines
We saved the most unique and fascinating theater for last! Shakespeare in the Vines is not your traditional theater: it’s a small, intimate, outdoor community theater set with the backdrop of a picturesque Californian vineyard. Located at 33440 La Serena Way on the Bailey Vineyard & Winery, its scenic location is something you won’t find in a theater anywhere else.
Performances are held on most evenings all summer, and tickets are only around $20. You’ll sit outside and watch local actors perform Shakespeare under a clear, starry, summer California sky. What an experience!
Watching a play under the night sky or a live band jam out under the sunset is about as classic of a Californian experience as you can find in our town! Another classic Californian experience you can find here in Temecula is a drive in one of America’s most beloved cars.
