Soro’s Mediterranean Grill is one of our favorite Greek spots in town, maybe even the whole state. This restaurant was started by Papa Soro, who has lived in Iraq, Lebanon, and Greece. His escape to America launched his love for cooking. Their appetizers such as baba ghanoush, tzatziki, and boorak are all served with pita bread. Some of their must-try menu items include the Soro’s Style Chicken Shawarma, made with sautéed chicken, shawarma spices, onion, hummus, and pine nuts, and The Grill, which is a chicken kabob, beef kabob, shish kafta, grilled vegetables, hummus, rice, and a garlic sauce.

Pangea Restaurant and Wine Bar
This family-owned eatery offers delicious traditional Greek fare in a relaxing atmosphere. Pangea Restaurant and Wine Bar offers appetizers such as Saganaki, which is made from Greek cheese grilled then flambeed at your table with brandy, and Spanakopita, a Greek pastry made from layered phyllo dough, feta cheese, and spinach. Their dinner specialties include the Lamb Souvlaki which is leg of lamb that has been marinated and skewered then grilled to perfection. They also have The Olympian which has gyro meat, dolmades, and falafels. Pangea is located at 27326 Jefferson Ave., Suite 17.
Kabob House
The Kabob House specializes in traditional Greek kabobs that are cooked to absolute mouthwatering perfection. You can get them in shrimp, lamb, beef, kafta, and chicken. They also have gyros, falafels, and chicken shawarma, plus their entrees including lamb chops. Their Greek Salad is also a favorite, with iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, olives, and feta cheese. Kabob House is located at 31093 Temecula Parkway.
Gyro Kabob Greek Cafe
Just a short drive away is the Gyro Kabob Greek Cafe. This small Greek restaurant takes pride in their food and you’ll be able to taste the difference with the first bite. They have several salads including Greek, Gyro Salad, Lamb Salad, and a Beef Salad. They also have delicious starters like their Chicken Lemon Soup with pita bread. For your main course, try their Pastitsio Plate, which is a Greek lasagna. They also have gyros and kabobs that are to die for. You can find this restaurant at 39252 Winchester Road in Murrieta.
Greek Style Chicken
Greek Style Chicken has some great food if you’re willing to drive a few minutes. Check out one of their combos such as the Falafel Plate, Hummus Plate, or the Gyro Plate. They also have a gyro and a Grilled Calamari Steak salad that are both quite impressive. Their kabobs are delicious as well. They are located at 904 S. Main Ave. in Fallbrook.
